in person birth support

  • pregnancy

It all begins with a baby. From those double lines showing up, right up to meeting your sweet babe, you have a million decisions to make, fears to conquer and important things to learn. Preparing for labour and birth can be daunting, especially when everyone has their opinion on what you should do with your body. My job is to educate you based on the latest evidence and help you identify and work through any fears that come up through pregnancy so that you reach labour and birth fearless, powerful and full of confidence that your baby is coming into the world the exact way you need them to.

    birth, body & baby teachings

    previous birth chats

The power is with you mama, and every family has unique needs.

now think of that same friend entering your birth space - you know her well, and you feel comfortable, you know that she knows you well too

you know she has your back, she can read your cues, encourage you forward and remind you of your vision for your birth

you can work as a team, using her toolkit and experience to guide you through, but always keeping your power, as you not only birth your baby, but birth you as a mother too

From the moment you bring bub earthside, life changes forever. In the postpartum phase, my role as a doula doesn’t change - I am there to nurture and nourish you while you rest, repair and spend time getting to know your new little human. In a world that doesn’t provide much of a village anymore, I can help you create that around yourself - so that you feel confident and loved while stepping into your new role as a mother. The fourth trimester should be cherished and not faced with overwhelm or fear. Let me help you get to that place and stay there, as you settle into your home and your new life, you might want for company, nourishment, support and words of wisdom

    ———

these visits are always a slow pace - allowing you to recover and heal, be nourished, have a break, have your belly bound or your shoulders massaged, have food prepared for you and spend time with your family and new baby - while the important things are looked after

    included in these sessions:

    breastfeeding & settling support

    home and sibling support

    newborn care

    food preparation

    bodywork & recovery support

Sometimes partners need that extra assurance that everything is going ok or support in advocating for your choices in the birth space.

Cue a quick text to me!

Wherever you are birthing, it’s always great to have someone you trust just a call away.

  • post partum

there’s no getting thrown in the deep end when you have prepared for your postpartum and breastfeeding so well, but it’s always good to have someone to call for a referral or zoom for a quick breastfeeding chat to get things back on track.

Postpartum should feel nourishing whether your support is local or not!!
